Porcelain Jewelry Box from the Wittelsbach Dynasty

Porcelain Jewelry Box from Maria Theresa of Bavaria

Commissioned in 1902 by Maria Theresa of Bavaria, this porcelain jewelry box reflects the artistic refinement and dynastic pride of the Wittelsbach family. The lid portrays a noble ancestor, linking personal memory to aristocratic heritage.

Crafted in Germany, the box features fine porcelain, gilded accents, and a floral clasp. Its compact form and harmonious design evoke the elegance of early 20th-century courtly taste. The underside bears the mark “GERMANIA” and the year of commission.

Despite its age, the box remains in excellent condition, with all decorative and functional elements preserved. Minor signs of wear enhance its authenticity.

As a collector of royal heirlooms, I regard this piece as a rare synthesis of artistry and lineage. Its provenance—confirmed by the original charity auction catalog—offers a direct link to Maria Theresa and the cultural legacy of the Wittelsbach dynasty.

Reserved for those who understand its historical depth and are prepared to preserve it with reverence.
