Visit Card Himmler

I hold it between my fingers with the same caution one would use to handle a dangerous relic. This business card, yellowed with age, bears the name Heinrich Himmler — Reichsführer SS — printed in stark, austere Gothic script. It is not just paper: it is a fragment of power, of terror, of history.

It once belonged to one of the most ruthless men of the Third Reich, and yet now it lies silent, encased, like a mute witness. I do not display it to provoke, but to remember. Because memory is never neutral, and this small, unsettling object is tangible proof of what happens when ideology overtakes humanity.

I keep it with respect and responsibility. Not to glorify, but to question. Every time I look at it, I’m reminded why history must be studied, not forgotten. And why collecting is not about owning — it’s about safeguarding memory.
